Photo editing
I have cut up 4 images; each one of a seperate mascot suit, and have put them together, which i have not decided to seperate throughout my magazine. I decided not to put them all together on one page, so i could manipulate each character. I have also edited my front page photo with a little bit of coloured light on each individual, this also makes it look more colourful and bright colours attract the reader. I made one of my photo's black and white for a bit of difference as most of my photo's are similarly coloured I thought i would change the pattern which was occuring.
Photo's

I have used these pictures because they are all group photo's apart from one, which is showing bands etc. The picture with the mascot suits, i have cut together and put them next to each other, they were all single photo's but they look better as a group.
The photo with just one single person, is for a solo artist, this is also shown by the fact that he is in a field by himself, which is slightly random.
The black and white picture is composed well apart from the one person stood behind someone else, it is a bit of a jokey shot, as it is meant to look like they are all running, which they are clearly not. This could relate to the audience's sense of humour.
The shot of 4 people is also related to the audience as it is a party scene which alot of my target audience can relate to.
Fonts
The fonts i have looked through have been targeted at my audience and to be eye catching, and also to relate to the name of my magazine. I looked through the website and typed in ‘barcode’ as my magazine is called code and i wanted to have a barcode effect on the title. It came up with what i wanted b ut i had slightly change the way it was layed out to get it onto the front cover effectively. Well there was only two to pick from but the first one that was there, was the one i wanted. I also looked through different fonts by typing in ‘random’ there were some interesting fonts there but none of them really caught my eye.

Analysis of existing magazines

NME is bright and bold magazine, like the genre of the music associated with this magazine. Bright colours on the front of the magazine attract the target audience, which from the demographics show that it is targeted at the younger audience between 15-44. A band will always be on the front of music magazines, people can relate to images a lot easier and are able to refer to people after seeing an image. The front cover of NME is generally always the same, a picture of a band, with big bold, clear writing of either a person's name or a band name, with other images and names scattered in different places on the page. The text is nearly always colourful and attractive, they use the same font as the main headline, for all subtitles to keep the continuity on the front page.
This contents page looks very hectic, but its organised mess. There is a lot of different colours and font sizes. There are only a few pictures on the contents, as it is mainly dominated by text. They have barely left any white space on the page, and it is dominated by colours and text. They have news, subscriptions and a band index.

An NME douple page spread, a large image covering a page, with a few facts about the band on the bottom left of the page. This douple page is dominated by three main coulours, white, black and blue. The first page is a picture of a band, and the second is covered in text. There are many sub-headings that are in a larger font.
